Perfect Power 2008 TURBO FUELLER TF10 piggyback with LETRIPP Software

The The Turbo Fueller (TF10) is a piggy-back product, which has been designed to enhance your Turbo or Supercharged electronically fuel injected engine.
The TF10 will be able to control the extra fuel from additional injectors, clamp the existing air flow meter, and control the boost (for Turbocharged engines only).

This latest LETRIPP product is for the enthusiast, who has added a turbo charger to his engine and needs to:
1. Add fuel via an extra injectors
2. Clamp the existing airflow meter
3. Control the boost pressure
The unit follows the LETRIPP specifications with a USB port for tuning and a Local Information Network (LIN) bus for sharing information with other units.
The injector drive outputs (2) can be switched optional to Peak-and-Hold (P/H) for use with low impedance injectors.
The unit has the following inputs:
* TPS
* Engine Temperature
* Air temperature
* AMP (Boost pressure)
* MAP Switch (A/B)
* SYNC input for crank trigger
The unit has the following outputs:
* 2 × 6A P/H Injector drives
* 2A Boost control valve drive
* Voltage clamp 0-5V analog
All inputs and outputs are protected against wrong polarity and over current.
The TF10 is designed to handle the increased fuel requirements through extra injectors. The TF10 can also retard the stock ignition and control a turbo’s waste-gate.
When a turbo or supercharger has been installed, the increase in power requires an increase in fuel. The TF10 can supply more fuel through the precise control of EXTRA injectors placed in the throttle body. Traditional methods of manipulating the amount of fuel was either to change the fuel pressure, or install bigger injectors. Doing this would cause problems at idling or at full power.
The TF10 is a wire-in piggy back product which requires some technical knowledge of engine management systems. Knowledge of how to use a multi-meter to trace wires and measure engine signals will be required.
It is also possible that extra injectors, a better fuel pump and a high pressure manifold sensor, will also need to be installed before using the Turbo Fueller TF10. The tools and knowledge to install these items will also be required.

FUEL INJECTOR CONTROL
The TF10 comes with 2 Peak-and-Hold (P/H) (high power) injector drives capable of handling 10 Amps each. The injector(s) are placed in or before the throttle body and are precisely mapped through the RPM and throttle range, including mapping for Manifold Absolute Pressure (AMP), Engine and Air Temperature. A suitable external MAP (AMP) sensor is required along with the TF10.

IGNITION CONTROL
The Turbo Fueller can intercept and RETARD two ignition signals. This is required to prevent “knocking” at high boost pressure.

BOOST CONTROL
This feature applies to TURBO installations only. It allows waste-gate control through a “bleed” valve above the canister pressure. This feature is a “must-have” for non-decompressed engines. It allows the boost pressure to be set for 24 targets in the RPM range.

LAUNCH CONTROL
This feature is for engines with strong gearboxes. Once the feature is engaged through a foot-switch, it retards the engine above a pre-set RPM target. This in turn allows for more throttle, so that the turbo can spin up and produce pressure. Once the foot-switch is released the retard is removed. The turbo-lag is also thus removed.

AIR FLOW METER CONTROL
The stock airflow meter may “max” out, and the stock ECU may shut the engine down. This can be prevented by routing the signal through the Turbo Fueller TF10 and mapping the signal, or just limiting it to a pre-set value. The TF10 has two circuits to tune an Airflow meter and a pressure sensor.

HARDWARE – LATEST TECHNOLOGY
Using the latest on-board 16 bit processor with 40 MIPS (Million Instructions Per Second) processing power, the improvement of processing speed is phenominal!
If you compare the older 8 bit platform to the new 16 bit, there are already huge speed gains, as the 16 bit code is almost half the size of the 8 bit code. By adding the code improvement, LetRipp Software is about 6x faster than any other current Perfect Power product, in completing a task. Because of this new technology, we have speed and memory to spare, and so we have included more features, which were previously impossible on the old platform.
All NEW products using the LetRipp Technology, ensure that the response time in the software, is quicker to the change of the engine and feature a much higher resolution for precise tuning. HARDWARE – COMMUNICATION
Most NEW products will have USB 2.0 communication running at 1.2Mbaud, but as we endeavour to provide product solutions for all types of markets, Perfect Power will also release NEW products with FASTER Serial (RS232) Communication running at 112Kbaud. Current Perfect Power products which have Serial (RS232) Communication, run at a standard 19.2Kbaud. Using Serial communication will ensure that prices remain cost competitive. Those who have modern USB-only laptops, will benefit from the USB 2.0 connection with the vast speed improvements.

SOFTWARE – SCREEN CAPABILITIES AND DATA DISPLAY
The LetRipp Windows Tuning Software is “state of the art” and boasts the very latest design, with the ability to cater for every scenario in the tuning world. It has a dynamic screen layout with a complete graphical interface.
Screens can be switched OFF, or ON, or HIDDEN, or MOVED AROUND to make tuning “a walk in the park”. The LetRipp Software caters for different screen sizes, including dual screens, but it is best viewed at 1024 × 768 pixels or higher.
When using the LetRipp Software, it will use the maximum screen size available on your computer and resize itself accordingly. If you have a dual monitor computer system, you will reap the rewards. Every tuning screen can be moved around, and placed in a position that best suits your visual needs. Select to view your incoming data with a LARGE display or a GRAPHICAL display and the LetRipp Software provides you with live, to the second, real-time information.

SOFTWARE – ON-LINE FAULT REPORTING
The LetRipp Software has a built-in fault detection where it will indicate the fault of a particular item in red. Moving your mouse over this red item will show a fault description, informing you of the possible cause. Faults experienced from the engine’s sensors or calibrations are shown in REAL time.

SOFTWARE – QUICK TUNING AIDS
Quick tuning aids include column, row and block set on the Tuning Maps.
A fantastic feature is the “Blending Function”. Using the Blending Function will enter values on the main tuning map, by just entering four values in each corner of the map. This means the program will automatically calculate the values into the map for you and this will ensure rapid results to achieve the desired maps without tuning every load point.
All tuning changes have an instant effect and are made immediately permanent.
